Eolas won the judgment, Microsoft was going to vigorously defend, now it looks like their giving up. Granted I hate software patents in general, but it’s always good to see Microsoft get it handed to them. Mostly because it happens so rarely.

The patent had to do with Active X - a good idea that was poorly implemented - surprise!. Maybe they will grow a clue and dump it altogether. Since the inception of Active X it’s been a security blight on the Internet. And that’s how I feel about that.
